Rosewood Phuket

Don’t usually write reviews here - but wow. Amazing place with great facilities, stylish designer rooms. Staff attentive to details and very helpful. Resort is full of small details that make the stay special - fruits in the room, complimentary small refreshers served at the swimming pool area periodically, impeccable cleanliness. Alessandro was of great hospitality, took us to the swimming pool area and offered drinks while we were waiting for the check-in - great touch and amazing service. Overall - kudos to the Team, I am looking forward to be back. Don’t even mention how beautiful the site is.

We’ve been to Phuket a few times but this was without a doubt the best hotel we’ve stayed at. Our room was a Partial Ocean View Pool Pavilion for 3 nights and we couldn’t be happier with it. Breakfast had a lot of variety with a superb quality, the team was really nice and always with a smile to welcome us. We loved the amenities that they provided during the whole stay for free (snacks by the main pool, drinks in our villa, etc). The lobby area is one of the most aesthetically pleasing we’ve ever seen, absolutely gorgeous 😍 The main pool area is equally beautiful and just a few steps away from the beach, what else you could ask for right? We also tried the Thai restaurant during our stay and the food was one of the best we had in Thailand, so so yummy 😋 highly recommend you to try the Tom Yum Soup and the Pad Thai. Thank you so much for making us feel at home, we really hope to return one day 🙏🏼

The hotel was fine, but there were a few flaws that would prevent me from recommending this place wholeheartedly. First and foremost was the location. Patong beach is busy, loud and not at all secluded. If you are imagining a low key, pristine beach with just you, the coconut trees and the sand, that's not your place. Here you should expect the view of smoke coming out of cruise ships, jet skis, built up landscape, and busy traffic. The hotel is off to the side from the primary hustle and bustle, but the view is the same nonetheless. The hotel room was very pleasant, well maintained and nicely designed, but the facilities overall felt a little run down: paint peeling off walls, overgrown vegetation, cracked pool tiles, etc. The food was pretty good, although the dinner at the Italian restaurant was disappointing, with half the dishes tasting great and half below expectations (like the overcooked pasta...). The breakfast was great though, with a small but high quality selection. The staff was very nice and professional overall, but there was a glitch in communication with the concierge regarding our day boat trip to Phi Phi, which made the experience a bit chaotic and unnecessarily stressful. Given the price level and the expectations coming with the Rosewood brand, I would say this stay was slightly below our expectations, mainly because of Patong but also because of a few flaws. Bottom line, if you have to stay in Patong, this hotel isn't a bad option, but I would consider other places around Phuket or elsewhere in Thailand.

Absolutely incredible kids club, on top of everything else, but it’s the kids club that deserves the biggest shout-out: beautiful space with such friendly staff and amazing programming. Literally a different arts&crafts project or activity every hour of the day. Our 3 and 5-year-old had the best time. The rest of the property is also spectacular, with amazing food at all of the restaurants and impeccable service.
